  11. announced that it is shipping it's latest version of Tenant Pro™ (4.1), a
  12. program designed for property management companies.  The new version is
  13. delivering unprecedented levels of digital imaging, MICR check encoding and
  14. cross-platform communication between Windows™ and Macintosh® environments.

  16. "These new additions make a genuine difference in the way a real estate
  17. management firm does business." says Actoris Vice President Jacob G. Garza.
  18. "All too often, the moment at which the property manager needs to perform one
  19. of the most demanding tasks (i.e. check writing) he or she is far removed from
  20. the computer.  Our goal in implementing MICR was to directly exploit the
  21. advantages of MICR technology, incorporate them into Tenant Pro and allow
  22. property managers to take full advantage of the benefits."

  24. According to Tenant Pro user Roberto Fata, New York City,  "The new features
  25. are terrific.  I manage several corporations with about 20 checking accounts.
  26. Last year without MICR,  it took me one hour to write checks with my computer
  27. and I spent close to $1,000 dollars on pre-printed checks... Now with the MICR
  28. feature, I spend 10 minutes writing checks and spend only about $150.00 because
  29. I'm printing on blank check stock and I'm not having to change check stock each
  30. time I pay from a different account. The savings are just tremendous."  Mr.
  31. Fata also adds. "Digital imaging allows my staff to pull up floor plans on the
  32. screen.  This helps to communicate with tenants if they are calling to report a
  33. particular problem while referring to a part of the room."

  35. Tenant Pro's 4.1 version comes with many enhancements and new features
  36. including:

  38. Digital Imaging capability:
  39. Digital imaging allows a property management firm to take pictures or scan
  40. documents and attach them to each rental unit file.  The pictures can be rooms,
  41. buildings, units, even pictures of property damage.

  43. MICR Check Encoding:
  44. MICR check encoding was designed for property managers who write checks out of
  45. more than one checking account.  With this feature you can print the bank name,
  46. company name, check number, the encoded account information on standard blank
  47. check stock.  Checks from several accounts can be printed in a single run
  48. without having to switch from one check stock to another.

  50. Cross-Platform capability:
  51. Tenant Pro is guaranteed to run the same data file on either Macintosh or
  52. Windows.  This feature is unique to the real estate industry.  For example, a
  53. property manager could operate the Windows version at their office.  At tax
  54. time a CPA (who has a Macintosh computer) could take the same data file, bring
  55. it up into his or her Macintosh and do taxes.

  58. $1995.  It combines a complete accounting system with a comprehensive database
  59. to provide instant information on tenants, owners, units vendors and
